Construction Continues On Kennedy Recreation Center Park Improvements

Construction crews working on the Kennedy Recreation Center at the intersection of 7th and I streets near the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, D.C have made progress but still have work to do.
The project, aimed to improve the outdoor play area of the center, continues nearly a month after the Department of Parks and Recreation's original estimated completion date.
According to the department, once finished, the park will have a splash park, new play structures, newly paved basketball courts, a walking trail with fitness equipment, new seating and a shade canopy.
New structures and shade have been added so far but the basketball courts are yet to be paved.
