Welcome Desk Volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House of DC

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington DC works to create and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. Each Ronald McDonald House offers a home-away-from home for seriously ill children and their families. The Houses are a haven for families who live too far away from the hospital to go home each night.

Help us welcome our families as they return from the hospital to their home-away-from-home.

Each day our families leave the Ronald McDonald House of Washington, DC and return without us staff seeing them to say "good morning" or "see you later." We are looking for friendly, outgoing people to provide a warm smile for the families as they come and go.

You will primarily be responsible for greeting families as they arrive, but duties may also include accepting packages, and answering phones.

This position is ideal for retired individuals or students, as there will be downtime during which you can read or study. Each shift is three to four hours, one day a week, however, we are very flexible when it comes to scheduling.

We’d love to see your smiling face, so contact Dean Caivano at dean@rmhcdc.org to become an integral part of the most important house in DC!
