Coastal Flood Advisory Begins Wednesday at 3 AM for DC

High tide is at about 7:16 a.m. Wednesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for Washington, D.C. that begins Wednesday at 3 a.m. The advisory continues until Wednesday morning at 9 a.m.

The NWS forecasts the Potomac River to be about 1 foot above normal. High tide is at about 7:16 a.m. Wednesday along the Potomac River.

Onshore winds and tides will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore, according to the weather service.
