Trash, recycling and holiday tree collections will be postponed once more due to weather, the District of Columbia Department of Public Works announced on Tuesday.
This week's trash collection schedule was already pushed forward by one day because of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day government closures.
"The collections schedule has been disrupted since November by the multiple deployments to fight snow and ice storms," a DPW news release said.

Weather forecasters predict four to eight inches of snow before 11 p.m., making it necessary for all DC Snow Team employees to work toward mitigating hazardous conditions, the release said.
"We expect to work at least two 12-hour shifts, possibly longer, since the forecast is for temperatures well below freezing,” said DPW Director William O. Howland, Jr. in the news release.
The team will focus its efforts solely on snow management until "roadways are passable," the release said.
