DPW Suspends Trash Collection For The Holiday
Find out when your collection day will be this week.
The District of Columbia Department of Public Works announced that trash and recycling collection will be suspended on Christmas.
DPW will pick up trash and recycling on Monday and Tuesday but will not pick up on Wednesday (Christmas day).
Pickup will resume on Thursday, DPW said.
If you have a Wednesday garbage day, your trash will be picked up on Thursday. Thursday pickup will be moved to Friday, and Friday pickup to Saturday.
DPW advises putting trash and recycling containers out before 6:30 p.m. the day before collection and removing them by 8 p.m. on collection day.
