Editor's Notebook: Bowling Alley, Benches, Hipper Restaurants and More

No Bowling for You!

The Georgetown Advisory Neighborhood Commission voted to oppose plans to bring a bowling alley to the Georgetown Park Mall until the condo residents, the bowling alley owners and the building owner came to an agreement on noise concerns and management. The proposal goes before the Board of Zoning Adjustment on Jan. 15.

When we asked you about your wishes for Georgetown in the new year, you had a lot to say. One commenter said he is older and would love benches near the bus stops to make his waits more comfortable. Another commenter wished for more interesting restaurants like those popping up on 14th Street.
