Editor's Notebook: Brazen Thefts, Nude Dancing and More

Brazen Metro TheftsMetro recorded a 48 percent increase in thefts during a two-week period ending Aug. 7 compared to the previous two weeks. Metro Transit Police released a pretty shocking video of one of those thefts in action.

Nude Dancing Club Subject of Meeting TuesdayAnother week, another wholesome community debate over nude dancing in Glover Park. The Glover Park Citizens Association held an emergency meeting Aug. 13 to vote on whether JP's, 2412 Wisconsin Ave., NW, should get a renewed liquor license and whether "private alcoves" should be allowed at the nude dancing club in Glover Park.
