The grand opening ceremony for the Georgetown Waterfront Park marks the completion the second phase of the project along the Potomac River. It wraps up almost three years after the second phase construction began in late 2008.
A special reception for donors will be held at 6:45 p.m. at the House of Sweden, but all are welcome to the event at the park at 5:30 p.m.
The Waterfront Park is spread over 10 acres along the Potomac River, extending approximately from to the Key Bridge.
