Former Georgetown Mascot, JJ, Gets Adopted
Georgetown's bulldog mascot was removed from his position earlier this summer.
JJ, the forcibly retired Georgetown University bulldog mascot, has a new home, DCist reports.
JJ (Jack Jr.) had just taken over for Jack the bulldog at the end of the most recent basketball season, but JJ was retired from his position as part of a settlement agreement with two parents whose child was bitten by the puppy last fall, The Hoya reports.
Thereafter Father Christopher Steck was charged with finding a new home for the spirited puppy and, according to DCist, he found one in a family that lives just three miles from the Georgetown campus.
"We did a test run with the family and J.J., and it worked wonderfully. They are in love with JJ and, I believe, vice versa," Steck told DCist.
