Georgetown Faces Extreme Weather, Below-Zero Temps

Here's the latest status on schools, governments and transportation.

Monday morning was punctuated by heavy fog and warmer temperatures. This morning temperatures have dropped to 7 degrees and minus-10 degrees with the wind chill. 

Bundle up if you have to go outside. 

Here's the latest on closings around the district. 

Schools:
District of Columbia schools are open

Government: The D.C. and Federal governments, including all of their agencies, are open. 

Library: The D.C. Public Library is open. 

Transportation: The Metrorail red line is experiencing about a 10-minute delay and the blue line is single-tracking. Busses experiencing delays are as follows: 31 from Friendship Heights to Foggy Bottom, the X1, X2, C28, V7, T2, 86, W15, W13
