Georgetown Farmers Market Returns Today

The Georgetown Farmers Market runs each Wednesday 3 to 7 p.m.

The Georgetown Farmers Market is kicking off its 10th year at Rose Park today from 3 to 7 p.m.

This year the market has brought on a new market manager, Gloria Garrett, formerly of the Palisades Farmers Market.

"She comes with fresh ideas, great connections and terrific energy for our neighborhood market. We are thrilled to have her managing our market, and hope you are too," according to a note sent out by the market on the Georgetown forum.

The new vendors are:

  • Bread House- bringing artisan savory and sweet breads in boules, baguettes and loaves along with muffins, croissants and o6ther baked goodies.
  • All Things Olive - featuring a olive oils, aged vinegars, Tapenades and salts
  • Nicecream –  locally made ice cream from local sources!

Returning vendors include:

  • Anchor Nursery - Fresh vegetables, fresh cut flowers, plants
  • Quaker Valley Orchards -- Berries, honey, apples, peaches, greens
  • Praline Bakery -- French bakery specialties; dinners-to-go, croissants
  • Groffs Content FarmLocal, range-fed meats and fowl plus cheeses
  • Les Caprices de Joelle -- Paella, soups, quiche, waffles(!) and other goodies
