Georgetown House Tour Set for April 28

It's your annual chance to peep inside some of the neighborhood's architectural gems.

It's everyone's favorite springtime ritual! The Georgetown House Tour will be in full swing next weekend from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 28.

We've been highlighting some of this year's featured homes - and people that inhabit them - in a series of article this week. Feel free to peruse them at your leisure.

At 96 years old, Frida Burling knows an incredible amount about the community and has taken an active role in organizing the annual tour for over 20 years.

Internationally renowned architect Hugh Jacobsen is one of four architects that has been asked to work on the U.S. Capitol. With modern design and distinctive style, his house promises to be a highlight of the 2012 Georgetown House Tour.

For the last 81 years, Georgetown residents and visitors have gathered every spring to attend what many believe is the oldest house tour in the country. This year, 1200 to 1800 people are expected to tour some of D.C.'s most beautiful and historic houses.
