Get Out: Georgetown Yoga Fundraiser, Arlington Christmas Concert and More

The weekend is here! How are you going to spend it?

1. Georgetown Business Association Yoga Fundraiser & Reception

When/Where: Yoga: 4 to 5:30 p.m., Reception: 5:30 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Georgetown Yoga, 2603 P St. NW, Washington

Why Go: Enjoy restorative yoga to de-stress from the holiday rush. Or, as the event notice says, "Not sure you are ready for yoga? You are welcome to attend the reception, enjoy some holiday cheer, tour the studio, and make a donation to Georgetown Senior Center." All donations will go to Georgetown Senior Center with the Georgetown Business Association matching funds up to $500.

2. Many Moods of Christmas Concert

When/Where: 8 p.m. Saturday at the Thomas Jefferson Theater, 125 S. Old Glebe Road, Arlington

Why Go: The Metropolitan Chorus and the Victorian Lyric Opera Company Orchestra come together for songs that evoke the Christmas spirit.

3. Open House at Anna Banana Arts and Crafts Georgetown

When/Where: 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Anna Banana Arts and Crafts, 3270 S St. NW, Arlington

Why Go: Be the first of your neighbors to check out this new creative space for children ages 2 to 8! Arts, crafts and treats will be on hand.

Price: Free to attend.

4. Winter Wonderland at Market Common Clarendon 

When/Where: 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Market Common Clarendon, 2700 Clarendon Blvd., Arlington

Why Go: See live holiday entertainment, including carolers, and Santa Claus will arrive on an Arlington County fire truck at 4 p.m. 

Price: Free

5.  Carols by Candlelight at St. John's Georgetown Parish

When/Where: 5 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Episcopal Church Georgetown Parish, 3240 O St. NW, Washington

Why Go: Take in "A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols," which features readings and music that originated at King’s College, Cambridge, England. The event also will feature traditional Christmas carols for all to sing.
