Help Choose Georgetown's Next Bikeshare Location

The District Department of Transportation is asking for public input for the 25 additional Bikeshare locations, set to open beginning this summer.

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) released a map Wednesday with 60 potential locations for 25 new Bikeshare stations. DDOT's map includes two additional in Georgetown: one at Rose Park and the other at Wisconsin Avenue and Reservoir Road. Georgetown currently has four Bikeshare stations.

“Its success speaks for itself: Capital Bikeshare already has more than 10,700 members and we are committed to adding more bikes and more stations to meet the increasing demand." said Mayor Vincent Gray.

District residents and cyclists will have an opportunity to get more information and provide feedback on the proposed locations at a public meeting on May 25. The meeting will be held from 6-8 p.m. in room 1107 at 441 4th Street NW.
