Ice Skating Benefit for Concerts in the Park

Sunday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. skating at the Washington Harbour will benefit Georgetown's Concerts in the Park.

Sunday night the Citizens Association of Georgetown (CAG) is hosting an ice skating party with cocktails, warm drinks and hors d'oeurves from Tony & Joe's and priority access and free skate rental at the Washington Harbour skating rink.

The party will benefit the 2013 Concerts in the Park series, which is free and open to the public.

"One of the great community events in Georgetown is the summer Concerts in the Parks series. Each year the parties and the crowds get bigger and bigger. This summer should be the best yet.

But it takes money to throw such a great party."

In addition to ice skating the family-friendly afternoon features games for kids off the ice, door prizes and chances to win gift certificates to local businesses through a silent auction.

According to the CAG website, "Tickets are $175 for three generations, $150 for 2 generations, $125 for a couple and $65 for one."

  • May 19th, (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle)
  • June 16th (a Fathers' Day celebration)
  • June 30th (an Independence Day celebration and parade)
