National Weather Service Issues Weather Alert for D.C.
Watch continues until 9 p.m. Thursday.
The National Weather Service on Thursday afternoon issued aSevere Thunderstorm Watch for the District of Columbia.
The watch covers the entire metro area, including the Maryland suburbs as well as Northern Virginia: Arlington County, Fairfax County, Loudoun County, Prince William County, Fredericksburg, Alexandria, Manassas and Manassas Park. It also covers the District of Columbia.
The watch is in effect until 9 p.m.
