News Personalities Bagging Groceries for a Cause Today

The Georgetown Safeway will be getting a few extra helping hands Tuesday from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Today five local news personalities will help bag your groceries as part of the Easter Seals/ Safeway Bagging Challenge in Georgetown. Stop by the Georgetown Safeway, 1855 Wisconsin Ave. NW, beginning at noon to catch the action.

The annual Safeway "Support for People with Disabilities” campaign is running throughout the month of April and benefits Easter Seals, Special Olympics and other organizations that help people with disabilities.

The schedule is:

Noon – 12:30 p.m. – Easter Seals/ Safeway Bagging Challenge, raising awareness and support of Easter Seals services.

12:30 p.m. -1:30 p.m. – News personalities will be bagging groceries for customers.

If you cannot make it during the special guest appearance, you can still participate in the in-store fund raising campaign at check-out stands.
