Save the Date: 2013 Georgetown House Tour April 27

The 82nd annual event will showcase nine Georgetown homes.

Mark your calendars: the 82nd annual Georgetown House Tour is planned for April 27.

"We are delighted to once again offer our guests the rare opportunity to look inside some of Georgetown’s most beautiful homes,” Stephanie Bothwell said in a press release.

Last year's organizers Bothwell and Frank Babb Randolph have returned to co-chair the 2013 Georgetown House Tour.

Bothwell is principal of Urban and Landscape Design and Randolph is an established Washington interior decorator.

Though the organizers have not named the nine homes, they promise the styles range from traditional to contemporary.

“We strive to select special homes that showcase the diversity of architecture and design styles that make up this village. Among the homes featured this year are a sophisticated Federal Revival, a unique charmer with a beautiful garden, and an evocative corner mansion perched on top of a hill," Frank Babb Randolph said in a press release.

Historic St. John’s church hosts the House Tour, offering a parish tea in Blake Hall from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

"It’s really the whole experience that makes our tour so unique...walking between the houses is almost as much fun as being in the houses," Bothwell told Patch last year.

The tour April 27 will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $45 each until April 21st, and $50 thereafter (including the day of the tour).

Tickets may be purchased at www.georgetownhousetour.com.
