Georgetown's Chance Of Snow Gets Upped By Forecasters

As temperatures rise, snow looms.

The hazardous wind chill has ceased today, according to the National Weather Service. But the chance of evening snow into early Wednesday keeps getting bigger.

And starting at 6 p.m. Tuesday into 6 a.m. Wednesday, NWS has issued a Winter Weather Advisory.

Tuesday's NWS forecast indicated a 20 percent chance of snow, but today that prediction jumped to a 60 percent chance of snow.

NWS said that snow is likely between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m with about an inch of accumulation.

Temperatures will be in the teens again by 10 p.m. and will stay there until about 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

Wednesday's forecast calls for sunny skies with a high temperature of about 27 degrees.
