Spotted in Georgetown: Ice Hockey On The C&O Canal
It's not the first time someone has taken to the canal on skates.
After the Polar Vortex at the start of the month some brave souls hit the C&O canal for some ice skating.
This reporter even documented his risky attempt, and had success on a second try.
And after this past week's cold snap, a group of Georgetown University students took it a step further and played hockey on the canal.
Check out photos of their game from DC journalist Carol Joynt who spotted them while driving by.
Note: Do not attempt to skate on the canal now. Water is clearly flowing through parts of the ice.
