Tuesday Staff Shortage Prevents Residential Trash Pickup
DPW collects later this week.
If you live in Burleith, your trash and recycling may not have been picked up on Tuesday.
The Department of Public Works said that some houses went without trash and recycling collection because of staff shortages on Tuesday. Only those with Tuesday pickup were affected, DPW said.
Residents who were missed should hold onto their trash until Dec. 17. For those with twice-a-week collection, DPW will be picking up trash and recycling on Friday, said Kevin Twine, DPW Office of the Director staff assistant.
"DPW apologizes for the inconvenience," he said.
