2. Georgetown University A Cappella Showcase: Spring Sing!

  • When/Where: 5:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Georgetown University’s Gaston Hall
  • Why Go: Georgetown Superfood a cappella group hosts SPRING SING! The event showcases newly prepared songs by Superfood, three other Georgetown a cappella groups, and a cappella groups from around the country. Families are welcome!
  • Price: $5

3. Arlington Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast

  • When/Where: 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Clarendon United Methodist Church, 606 North Irving St., Arlington
  • Why Go: The pancake breakfast sponsored by the Arlington Kiwanis Club benefits the nonprofit Doorways for Women and Families. In addition to the breakfast, there will also be an antique car show, moon bounce, face painting, and items for raffle.
  • Price: $8 for adults, $4 for children

4. LGBT Spring Social

  • When/Where: 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pinzimini Lounge at The Westin Arlington Gateway, 801 N. Glebe Road, Arlington
  • Why Go: The event is hosted by a variety of LGBT professionals and allies from all over the Washington area, according to the event announcement.
  • Price: Free

5. Rock Creek Clean Up

  • When/Where: 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Thompson Boat Center, 2900 Virginia Ave. NW, Washington
  • Why Go:  Help local parks get a much-needed spring cleaning. Rock Creek Conservancy is mobilizing volunteers at over 60 Rock Creek locations. You can sign up for the Rock Creek Extreme Cleanup here.
