Yard-Hopping Burglars Hit at Least 8 Georgetown Garages, Homes
Georgetown was hit with burglaries to eight garages between Thursday and Monday, with six recorded incidents and at least two others reported by residents, but not reflected in police reports.
Police have increased their presence in the residential section of Georgetown.
Updated: Basketball Coach Charged with Sexual Assault Involving Young Girl
A basketball coach, who coached basketball teams in the DC region including at Georgetown Day School, has been arrested for allegedly having sex with one of his young female athletes — and authorities say she may not be the only victim.
Georgetown Day School confirmed that Marlow Mikassa Afshartous, aka Marlow Talley, served as an assistant high school women’s basketball varsity coach but stated he "is not currently employed by GDS nor will he be in the future."
