Georgetown Arts 2012 Opens Thursday

The third annual Citizens Association of Georgetown arts show opens with a reception Feb. 16.

The will play host to a selection of art by Georgetown residents and Georgetown-based artists beginning Thursday, Feb. 16. Georgetown ARTS 2012 is the third annual art show organized by the Citizens Association of Georgetown (CAG).

The show kicks off with an evening reception Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the House of Sweden, 2900 K Street N.W. The exhibit is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17 through Monday Feb. 20.

According to a press release, several artists — including,  Edward "Bear" Miller, Camilla Bozzoli and Robin Hill — will be offering demonstrations of portraiture, watercolor and oil painting.

The exhibit will feature art in a variety of mediums, including oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting, prints, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. All items are suitable for families with children, according to the CAG press release.

Most of the work is for sale, though a few items are merely on loan.
