Georgetown's Rhino Bar to Host Philip Seymour Hoffman Retrospective

Local bar will begin showing films Sunday at 11 a.m.

Georgetown's Rhino Bar will host a movie marathon Sunday featuring some of the films of actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, according to a story in The Washington Post.

The gifted actor died at age 46 on Sunday from a heroin overdose in New York.

The bar, located at 3295 M St., will show the first film beginning Sunday at 11 a.m. Likely movies according to the Post? Almost Famous, The Big Lebowski, Along Came Polly, Charlie Wilson's War, Doubt, Capote and Twister. 

A DC-centric choice might include The Ides of March, an adaptation of Farragut North.
Hoffman won an Oscar in 2006 for Best Actor for his portrayal of writer Truman Capote in Capote. Hoffman was nominated three times for a Tony Award. New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, graduating with a B.F.A. degree in Drama in 1989.
