Why Go: See favorites Afro Blue, Joshua Redman, Don Byron and Rene Marie perform.

When/Where: Starting 7:30 p.m. Friday, the tour meets at the corner of New Hampshire Avenue and I Street NW.

Why Go: Explore art outside and close to home. The Foggy Bottom tour covers 13 sculptures by 15 nationally and internationally recognized artists. After the tour, you can enjoy drinks and con­ver­sa­tion at the River Inn, 924 25th St. NW.

Price: Free. There is a cash bar at the River Inn after the tour.

Why Go: Watch a political comedy satirizing all aspects of campaigning.

Price: $22 per ticket.

5. Adams Morgan Day Festival

When/Where: Noon to 7 p.m. Saturday on 18th Street between Columbia Road and Florida Avenue NW. 

Why Go: Experience the longest continuous neighborhood festival in D.C. Adams Morgan Day features live music, interesting art and fun events for kids. Two live music stages will feature performances of genres ranging from jazz to bluegrass to go-go.
