Grammy Song of the Year and Grammy Record of the Year: What's the Difference?

But many music fans are probably wondering: What's the difference in the two awards?
Back in 2011, I researched the topic and was reminded on Sunday to share what I found way back then, now.
The Record of the Year is the recognition of an artist's performance and the work of the sound mixers, engineers and producers credited on the track, according to grammy.org.
The Song of the Year is awarded to the actual song writers.
