Could Crumbs Bake Shop Make a Comeback?

Crumbs Bake Shop, which closed its doors nationwide recently after financial troubles, could be making a comeback, according to media reports.

Marcus Lemonis, who stars in the TV reality show, "The Profit," is part of an investor group that announced last week that they plan to acquire the bake shop out of bankruptcy, according to a report by the Associated Press. 

Crumbs, which specialized in cupcakes and other baked goods, had several DC-area locations.
 
Georgetown is home to several cupcake shops, including Georgetown Cupcake, Baked & Wired and Sprinkles Cupcakes.
