DSW, a discount shoe store, will add yet another location in the District of Columbia if it finalizes a deal to come to the Georgetown Park Mall.
Scott Milsom of Vornado Realty Trust presented plans to the Georgetown Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) for new signage at the Georgetown Park Mall, which is currently undergoing an intensive renovation. Milsom has previously called their efforts "de-malling the mall."
In presenting the design scheme for the signs at the new entrance to the mall near Dean & DeLuca, Milsom listed DSW as one of the tenants.
ANC Comissioner Peter Prindiville ask Milsom if DSW was confirmed for the mall.
"We are very far along in discussions with them," Milsom said.
The Georgetown location would join two others that opened recently in the District, in Chevy Chase DC and Columbia Heights.
Among the confirmed new tenants for the M Street mall are T.J. Maxx, Home Goods and Pinstripes Bowling Alley.
Previous tenants J.Crew, H&M, Banana Republic and, most likely, the DMV will all return when the renovation is complete.
