Expanded 7-Eleven Re-opens in Georgetown

The P Street convenience store has been closed since late July.

The newly expanded 7-Eleven re-opened on election day, Nov. 6, at 2617 P St. NW. Construction was initially anticipated to wrap up by late September.

The shop took over the former P Street Pictures location and now occupies some 2,500 square feet of space.

When it first closed, the owners started a twitter account to keep customers up to date.

According to one tweet, when the store closed in July for construction, it was "the first time we were closed in over 20 years," and the owners said they had "never had a key for the door."
