Farmers Fishers Bakers Design Unveiled

The re-imagined restaurant will occupy a space at the Georgetown Waterfront.

The design for Farmers Fishers Bakers is "urban farmhouse" chic with a few nods to the nautical elements of the Washington Harbour complex. The restaurant is a reimagined version of Farmers and Fishers, which was damaged in an April 2011 flood.

GrizForm Design Architects created the new design and were also the team behind the outdoor patio at Founding Farmers.

According to an email from the architect's PR firm the design features elements like:

  • "Bar design details include flooring inspired by field grids seen from an airplane above and brown lighting that will bring a sunset feeling indoors"
  • "The nautical-inspired back dining area offers pod-like booths that are intimate and can seat four-to-six diners."

Farmers Fishers Bakers will open this fall, according to the restaurant's website.
