Fashion's Night Out is Tonight, Rain or Shine

Shoppers can enjoy great fashion, tasty refreshments, good deals and even win a dream wedding in Georgetown Thursday.

For the second year in a row, Georgetown shops, salons and restaurants will be filled with fashionable shoppers for Fashion's Night Out. The event Thursday runs from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and features over 100 Georgetown stores, restaurants and salons.

Expect to see haute couture and high heels flaunting their way along M Street and Wisconsin Avenue. Pedicabs will take to the street to offer free rides to shoppers, whisking them away in style from one shop to another.

In addition to great shopping, 50 engaged couples will participate in the "Get Hitched in Georgetown" contest to win a wedding with most expenses covered by local vendors. More than 20 Georgetown merchants have teamed up to create a Georgetown wedding package - including the wedding gown, cake, wedding suite, invitations and even the reception - for one engaged couple. The competition will take place in the TD Bank parking lot at 1611 Wisconsin Ave. from 8:30-9:30 p.m. Talk about high stakes!
