The Italian staple had been in Georgetown since 1988.

Fino Italian Restaurant, an M Street eatery since 1988, has closed, according to Prince of Petworth.

The local blog posted a photo of a note taped to Fino's window, which said the Italian restaurant would be moving to 1230 9th St., NW near the convention center.

No word on what will take Fino's play at 3011 M St., NW next to Sprinkles Cupcakes and Hu's Shoes.
