Free Frozen Yogurt at Georgetown Saxbys Wednesday

Saxbys celebrates National Frozen Yogurt Day for National Frozen Yogurt Day.

Saxbys Coffee shop, 1332 35th St. NW, in Georgetown will give out free small frozen yogurts to anyone who stops by Wednesday in celebration of National Frozen Yogurt Day.

Frozen yogurt in February?

"It's a very popular product for us year-round," Jim Hilson, the owner/manager at Saxbys, told Patch.

The small tart frozen yogurts are free, no purchase necessary. Though if you want toppings, you will have to pay a small fee, said Hilson.

Hilson said one of the most popular toppings in his cafe is the house-made granola, which you cannot find at any other Saxbys location. In addition to granola there is fresh fruit and of course less healthy toppings, like crushed Oreo cookies and chocolate chips.

To make the yogurt, Saxbys uses plain Stonyfield organic yogurt, non-fat milk and tart froyo mix.

You can stop by for your free yogurt any time between 6 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

And don't worry about them running out.

"We should have enough supply to last the day," Hilson said.
