French Market Returns to Book Hill Friday

The annual Georgetown French Market on Book Hill will be Friday April 27 and Saturday April 28.

If you weren't lucky enough to have recently enjoyed April in Paris (like your Georgetown Patch editor), you can enjoy Paris in Georgetown in April as a decent consolation.

In this, the event's 9th year, it features some 43 Book Hill merchants offering specials and sales Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be sales on fashion and accessories, live music, French-themed food and even a photobooth where you can strike jaunty French poses with friends.

For the second year in a row Georgetown French Market tote bags are available for $2 each; 100 percent of the proceeds go to The Friends of Book Hill Library. Bags are one sale throughout the week at participating stores and during  The bags will be sold at the Georgetown French Market event as well as at participating Georgetown stores two weeks prior to the event.

The Georgetown Business Improvement District is hosting a Pinterest contest; the winner will receive a French Market gift bag with goodies and gift certificates to local businesses. To enter, create a French-themed Pinterest board and send it to events@georgetowndc.com by midnight on Wednesday, April 25.

Book Hill is located on upper Wisconsin Avenue, NW, between P Street and Reservoir Road.
