Frye will open its Georgetown flagship store soon, just not Tuesday, as Patch and several other local news outlets had originally reported.
The opening date is not yet set, according to a PR manager for the company.
The new store at 1066 Wisconsin Ave., NW fills the space previously occupied by Italian restaurant Papa-Razzi.
The Frye Company, founded in 1863, is the oldest continuously operating shoe company in the U.S.
