Fuel Pilates' Owner Expands Barre Business

Xtend™ Barre classes combine dance, Pilates and sculpting exercises.

Kelly Griffith, who owns Fuel Pilates on O Street NW in Georgetown, is expanding her exercise business with a new Xtend™ Barre studio in Mount Vernon Triangle. The new studio, opening Nov. 10 at 1228 Blagden Aly., NW, will focus exclusively on the Xtend™ Barre workout.

Xtend™ is a combination of Pilates, dance and sculpting exercises that helps practitioners gain strength while maintaining lean bodies, according to a press release about the studio. Fuel offers several barre classes a week in addition to traditional Pilates classes.

“If you have limited time, Xtend Barre will take care of your upper body, abs, legs and butt in under an hour. If you go 3-4 times a week, it’s the only workout you really need,” said Griffith in a press release.
