Georgetown Added 26 New Businesses in 2012

The Georgetown Business Improvement District counted 26 openings in 2012; there were 29 in 2011 and 2010.

Georgetown added 26 new businesses, both national and independent shops, in 2012, according to the Georgetown Business Improvement District (BID). The area added 29 businesses in 2010 and 2011.

The BID also brought on a . Sterlieb had previously been a vice president at EastBanc, Inc. and the deputy director of the Golden Triangle BID before that.

"We're optimistic that the neighborhood will only continue to provide more choices in not only shopping, but food, hospitality and entertainment as well," Sternlieb said in a press release.

The BID says 2013 will be an exciting year with several openings in the works, including the Grill Room at the new Capella Georgetown hotel, which opens later this month.
