Georgetown Bowling Alley Application Under Consideration

The bowling alley would be located in the Georgetown Park Mall.

The Georgetown Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) will consider an application for a bowling alley in the Georgetown Park Mall. The bowling alley needs a special exception to be permitted in the mall.

Earlier this fall the mall owners and Pinstripes, a chain of bolwing alleys and resturants, filed an application with the DC Board of Zoning Adjustment (BZA) to allow the new amenity to occupy a large portion of the mall, currently under renovation.

Pinstripes' locations in Chicago and Minneapolis are "distinctive 40,000 square foot dining and entertainment venues feature a bistro with exceptional Italian/American cuisine and wine; bowling and bocce," according to the company website.

The ANC will review the application and send its opinions to the BZA, which will consider the project Jan. 15.

The Georgetown ANC will meet at Georgetown University's Leavey Center in the Leavey Program Room at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 3. This is a change from the usual location at Georgetown Visitation.
