Georgetown's hotels are ready for the 2013 Presidential Inauguration -- in fact, many are already booked for the days surrounding Jan. 21.
Georgetown Suites was nearly booked even before the election Nov. 6. By Nov. 7, the day after President Barack Obama was re-elected, all 220 suites were reserved for inauguration weekend, according to Pam Welliver, director of sales.
The yet-to-open Capella Georgetown plans its debut just days before the 2013 Inauguration. Alex Obertop, the general manger of Capella in Washington, D.C., told Patch the hotel has booked about 50 percent of its 49 rooms to existing Capella hotel clients.
If you are not currently a Capella client, you may call the reservation line (202-617-2400) to inquire about availability. In the next week or so any remaining rooms will be made more publicly available, according to Obertop.
One room not quite enough? How about booking an entire floor or two?
