Gilt City Launch Party Planned for Georgetown Tuesday

The membership site offers high-end local services and deals

Tuesday night, an invitation-only party at the Halcyon House will celebrate the launch of Gilt City in Washington, D.C.

At the event some 200 of Washington's most socially involved residents will enjoy a garden party, according to Gilt City's D.C.- based event organizer Barbara Martin of BrandLinkDC.

Martin said guests should expect cocktails, snocones and garden games like croquet.

Gilt announced the D.C. launch along with new sites in Atlanta, Dallas, and Seattle; the service is now available in 10 cities.

According to the Washington Scene blog in The Hill, the host committee includes Juleanna Glover, Winston Lord, Susanna Quinn, Lindsay Czarniak and Craig Melvin.

In a press release about the launch announcement, the company promises its new product "captures each city’s individuality."

From epicurean adventures with famed local chefs to indulgent spa services with a twist, Gilt City curates the site to highlight the best that their city has to offer in an effort to make residents love their city more.
