Good Stuff Eatery Headed to M Street

Top Chef Spike Mendelsohn is eyeing property on M Street for his popular burger joint

Look out cupcakes, burgers are eyeing the top spot in the Georgetown restaurant scene. Top Chef alumn Chef Spike Mendelsohn is looking to expand his popular burger joint, Good Stuff Eatery, to Georgetown, according to the Washingtonian.

Micheline Mendelosohn, Spike's sister and public-relations representative, said in an interview with Washingtonian, "We're not sure where we'll settle, but Georgetown will definitely be our third location."

They have already found a location in Crystal City for their second restaurant.

She said customers have been asking them to open in Georgetown almost from the day they opened their first location on Capitol Hill.

Though there is no lease yet for a space in Georgetown, Mendelsohn said they have narrowed down their options to two spaces, both on M Street.

Chef Mendelsohn told the Washington Examiner that he has been watching the success of the cupcake sisters at .

"The Georgetown Cupcake girls do a really great job down there and I have a close eye on them and their success and I'm very happy for them," he said. "I look to be their neighbor."
