JoS. A. Bank Opens in Georgetown

Menswear retailer JoS. A. Bank opens today at 1815 Wisconsin Ave. NW in north Georgetown, near the Social Safeway. The store had a "soft opening" Thursday.

This is the men's retailer's fourth Washington, D.C. location. The mid-sized location is spread across some 4,000 square feet and is staffed by a team of four salesmen and one manager.

Store manager George Gelinas told Patch he thinks their location in Burleith is perfect.

"First, Georgetown residents will be able to enjoy the distance from the very crowded M Street scene which offers easy access to our location. Second, we share a parking lot with two other businesses and the Safeway across the street provides customers with additional parking opportunities," he wrote in an email.

They will offer full tailoring services through an on-site tailor.

"I truly believe that our expertise, outstanding customer service and prime location will give more Georgetown residents access to quality men's apparel," wrore Gelinas.

Store Hours: Mon.-Sat.: 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., Sun.: noon - 6 p.m.
