Last Chance: Ice Skating in Georgetown Ends Today

Sunday marks the last day of the first skating season at the Washington Harbour.

The Washington Harbour Ice Rink closes for the Season March 3. This was the inaugural season of the new ice rink on the Georgetown waterfront.

The Georgetown rink is DC’s largest outdoor ice skating venue. It opened for the season in November. Once the rink is removed, the fountains will once again return as the weather turns warm.

During the season, the rink played host to a fundraiser for the summer Concerts in the Park series, the Winter on the Water celebration and even the Washington Nationals' mascot Screech and Racing President Teddy.
