Readers' Choice Winner: Booeymonger

The deli on Prospect Street opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 12 a.m. every day, keeping both long-time Georgetown residents and students happy and full.

Booeymonger won this week's Readers' Choice contest with 27 percent of the vote. came in second with 20 percent of the vote and was third with 17 percent.

Ajith Wellage, the general manager for Booeymonger, had plenty of reasons why he thinks his breakfast is so popular.

Booeymonger uses fresh ingredients, makes items to-order and everything comes warm, right off the grill.

"Nobody can get the hot breakfast straight from the grill" elsewhere in Georgetown, he said, at least not with such speed and not for the price.

Wellage said the bagels are fresh each morning,  the eggs are real (nothing poured out of a carton), and the home fries are made fresh each day, not from frozen potatoes.
