Shop Georgetown: Luigi Parasmo Salon

Patch asks local small businesses about their holiday plans.

Patch is talking to small businesses in Georgetown this week as we gear up for Small Business Saturday.

We received these answers from Luigi Parasmo Salon's Luigi Parasmo. The salon opened in 2012 and is located at 1510 Wisconsin Ave. NW.

What is your biggest selling holiday item? Or what are your busiest days?
The Kerastase and Oribe gift sets are our best sellers during the holidays. Both gift sets include freebies and complimentary products to enjoy over the holidays. Gift cards are also very popular among our clients. Because they are refillable, guests can continue using the gift card for as long as they reload it. Our busiest day is still Saturday - especially with all the Holiday parties going on.

Any crazy prep (decorations, staff, longer hours)?
We respect the religion and holidays of all our clients. We like to decorate our salon with a modern and edgy twist to refrain from offending those who do not celebrate Christmas.During the month of December, we will be raffling off gift baskets (valued at $400) filled with products from luxury brands such as Oribe, Kerastase and Moroccan Oil. Tickets will go on sale the second week of December. Our clients will enjoy passed Italian sweets during the month of December and on the 31st, our 21+ clients will make a toast to the new year with a complimentary glass of champagne. Our entire styling team will be on hand every day we are open (Tuesday-Saturday). Additionally, we will be open Monday, Dec. 24Wednesday, Dec. 26 and Monday, Dec.31 for extended hours until 8 p.m. rather than 7 p.m. The salon is usually closed on Mondays.

It brings people together and gives everyone an opportunity to appreciate others, what we have and how lucky we are to be healthy and loved!

Where are you going to holiday shop/dine locally?
As a local business, it is very important for us to support our neighborhood hotspots. We shop at CB2, West Elm, Diesel, True Religion, Zara and dine at Bonaparte, Neyla, Paolo's and Bodega.

Are you optimistic or pessimistic about sales?
Very optimistic! Everyone deserves a gift for the holidays.
