Patch is talking to small businesses in Georgetown this week as we gear up for Small Business Saturday.

We received these answers from Urban Chic, on behalf of owner Lindsay Buscher.

All of our Kai products are very popular during the holidays—fragrance, lotion, candles. They make great stocking stuffers and everyone loves the scent!

Any crazy prep? (Lots of special orders? Decorations?)

We love to make our stores festive for the season with lots of greenery, lights, and cool vintage decorations. We also reorder all of our accessories and smaller items that people love for gifting, like Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC bags, Hanky Panky thongs, Hollywood Fashion products and Kai. We also make sure to have plenty of winter white, red, and sparkly dresses on hand for all of those holiday parties!

What are your holiday hours?

Our Georgetown store will be open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

What's your favorite part of the holiday season?

I love buying gifts for other people and watching my favorite holiday movies, especially Elf with Will Ferrell!

Where are you going to holiday shop/dine locally?

For holiday shopping, you can’t beat our Book Hill neighborhood in Georgetown with all of the cute locally-owned boutiques. As for restaurants, all of the girls at the store have been raving about Bandolero on M Street, so I have that on my list to try next!

Are you optimistic or pessimistic about sales?

I am always optimistic about sales! We are stocked with tons of great stuff for the holidays and have an amazing and helpful staff that can’t wait to help customers find the perfect gifts for their loved ones!
