The Graham Hotel Now Open in Georgetown

The 57-room hotel opened quietly in mid-April at 1075 Thomas Jefferson St. NW.

Formerly the Hotel Monticello, The Graham hotel opened April 15 at 1075 Thomas Jefferson St. NW. The boutique hotel features a rooftop bar and a new restaurant.

As Patch previously reported, the Monticello sold in 2011 to Mast Capital. The hotel underwent several millions of dollars in renovations at the hands of the Independent Collection group and architecture firm BBG-BBGM.

The hotel restaurant, A.G.B., is located below the lobby and features "farm-to-table cuisine," according to the hotel website. A.G.B. takes its name from Alexander Graham Bell, for whom the hotel is named, according to Brightest Young Things.

Observatory, the rooftop bar will not open until some time in early May, according to BYT. When it opens it will feature dinner and cocktail menus on weekdays as well as a brunch menu on the weekends.

Hotel Chatter, an industry website, opines that Observatory will be a hot ticket this summer:

"The rooftop terrace, aptly called The Observatory, is available for all—even non-guests. We think this might make the Graham this summer’s hot spot, given the fact that no other Georgetown hotel has a rooftop lounge open to the public."

Have you stopped by the Graham to check out the renovation?
