Tired of Cooking a Thanksgiving Meal for Twelve?

Enjoy mess-free kitchens on Nov. 25 thanks to our guide on Thanksgiving take-out options in and near Georgetown.

Is planning for the Thanksgiving meal adding unnecessary stress to an enjoyable holiday? Are you already dreading the hours of hard labor and lost sleep? Cooking a Thanksgiving dinner can be expensive, demanding and time-consuming. Here are a few options around Georgetown that will allow you to eat a full-scale dinner at home without the added worry of preparing it yourself:

-Whole Foods, located at 2323 Wisconsin Ave., has a Thanksgiving menu at its Holiday Table for browsers. It offers a plethora of options, including meat-free meals for vegetarians. You can also skip going to the store and order a full meal online.

-Trader Joe's, located just outside of Georgetown at 1101 25th St., offers everything from pumpkin butter to organic baby sweet potatoes to make a Thanksgiving dinner complete. A full meal under $25 is available for the thrifty.

- at 3217 P St. offers a full Thanksgiving menu. For $89 you can order a meal to feed six to eight people. The menu includes turkey with gravy or ham as the main course, sides of smashed potatoes or sweet potatoes, green beans with almonds, cranberry pear relish, herb focaccia dressing, cornbread and a choice of pumpkin, pecan or apple pie. You can also order a la carte. Place your order by 10 a.m. on Nov. 20.

- at 3276 M St. has options for those willing to shell out more for their meal. In addition to standard heritage turkeys and cranberry chutney, meal-plotters can order spruced-up side dishes like garlic mashed Yukon gold potatoes and roasted autumn vegetable crumble.

-Balducci's High Noon Food Lover's Market, located at 1200 19th St. NW, offers custom dinners where you can choose from a dense list of sides, extras, bread and desserts. If you order your meals the week before Thanksgiving, they will deliver. They also allow procrastinators to order on Thanksgiving Day, as long as it is before 2 p.m.

-The Fairmont Washington, D.C. at 2401 M St. NW offers "Turkeys To-Go," which consists of a standard meal for 10 for $260. Placed your order by Monday, Nov. 22.
