Under Armour Founder Buys Former Nathan's Building at Wisconsin and M

Space could become an Under Armour retail store.

Under Armour founder Kevin Plank, who grew up in Kensington, Md., has purchased the building that once housed Nathan's at M Street and Wisconsin Avenue, according to The Washington Post.

The space is currently home to Serendipity 3DC, an ice cream emporium that opened in the space in 2011.

Billionaire Plank, 41, bought the 6,662-square foot building for $12.25 million. No word on whether an Under Armour store will go into the spot or if Plank has other plans for the space.

The Washington Business Journal reports that the space was purchased by Plank's brother Scott, who runs War Horse LLC, and will lease the space to Under Armour, for a store there. Under Armour has stores in the DC area in Tyson's Corner and Bethesda.
